1. We talk about your wedding
The song, the date, the space where you'll dance and what you fancy (and what you don't). If you haven't picked a song yet, we'll help you choose: some tracks are far easier to dance to than others.
Almost every couple who writes to us starts the same way: "the thing is, we can't dance". And almost all of them finish their wedding feeling that moment went better than they expected.
The first dance is intimidating because it's the one moment of the wedding when everyone is looking at you at once. That's normal. What almost nobody realises is that the fear doesn't go away by rehearsing more hours, but by having something simple and well settled that you can pull off even when you're nervous.
That's why we don't build spectacular routines that fall apart on the day. We build something that fits your song, your actual level and what feels comfortable, and we repeat it until it comes out by itself. The goal isn't to impress: it's for you to enjoy it and to look at ease.
The song, the date, the space where you'll dance and what you fancy (and what you don't). If you haven't picked a song yet, we'll help you choose: some tracks are far easier to dance to than others.
We create a tailor-made choreography on your song, adapted to your starting point. No impossible steps: moves that come out well for you and look good from the outside.
The last sessions are about repeating and polishing details: the entrance, the exit, where you look, what you do with your hands. So that on the day your body remembers even if your head is elsewhere.
We work from the track you've chosen. If it's a bachata, even better — that's our specialty. But we adapt the dance to whatever song matters to you, in any style, and find a way to make it work.
And if the song is long, there's no need to dance all of it: the usual approach is to keep one section. We'll help you decide which part works best and build the choreography around it. Three minutes danced well beat five minutes of filler.
The sooner the better — and not to sell you more lessons: with time ahead you rehearse without pressure, what you learn settles in, and you reach the day relaxed. It can be pulled off in a rush, but it's far less enjoyable.
We recommend starting two or three months before the wedding. If yours is sooner, message us anyway and we'll see what can be done with the time available.
Quite the opposite: it's the most common starting point. Most couples preparing their first dance have never danced. The choreography is designed around your actual level, not around what a dancer is supposed to know.
Ideally two or three months before the wedding: enough time to learn without rushing and for the dance to settle. If you have less time, message us anyway and we'll adapt the work to the weeks available.
It depends on the song, the choreography you want and your starting point. After the first session we can tell you fairly precisely how many are needed. Message us and we'll talk it through with no obligation.
Yes. We work on the track you've chosen, in any style, and adapt the dance to it. If you haven't decided yet, we'll help you pick: some songs are much easier to dance to than others.
It happens more than you'd think, and it isn't a problem. We work calmly, without putting anyone on the spot, adapting the dance to what that person is willing to do. In most cases, once it starts working, the reluctance fades.
